Fire Emblem Engage Details Pegasus Knight Chloe

By Mia Horton

A gentle yet powerful knight.

Fire Emblem Engage

Fire Emblem Engage has been doing an excellent job since its announcement of slowly welcoming people into its world. Specifically, they’ve been detailing the characters you’ll meet initially in the game so that you’re not overwhelmed by them once you arrive. That means the main character of Alear will have plenty of people to work with to start, and that’ll be a comfort to them and the player. Today a Pegasus Knight spotted in the reveal trailer got her official introduction. Her name is Chloe, and she is one of the retainers of a character we’ve met before in Princess Celine.

Like Celine, she’s from the Kingdom of Philene and has a great connection with her liege. Some might even say she’s rather fond of the princess. Chloe is a gentle soul who likes fairy tales and beautiful environments. She’s clearly a person fans of the franchise will like and want to know more about. As noted, her initial class is Pegasus Knight. They’re a classic class in the franchise, as they have excellent mobility and can easily take out enemies who are far away by flying to them. The catch is that they have a deadly weakness to bows. So you’ll want to keep her away from them.

The video highlighting Chloe also shows her in battle as she takes down an enemy with a critical strike. Fans have noticed the animations of these attacks. They’re of excellent visual quality compared to past games, and fans look forward to seeing what other animations there are.

Another critical thing from the end of the video is a conversation between Chloe and Celine in what appears to be the game’s home baseFire Emblem is known for its “support conversations,” where characters gain favor with one another in battle and then grow closer through conversations. These conversations shed insight into both characters and reveal details we wouldn’t naturally know about them.

The conversation we hear is in Japanese, but it was translated to reveal that Chloe and Celine are talking about tea plantations they want to see on Chloe’s Pegasus.

Chloe is one of many characters that you’ll meet in Fire Emblem Engage, and each character is unique per the series’ style. It was recently reaffirmed that the classic weapons triangle will be in the game alongside the “Break System.” That means you’ll need to pick wisely when you assemble your team for a battle so that you can take advantage of your foes.
