Halo 5 to get Infection

By Daniel Foster

Hot on the heels of the addition of Warzone Firefight and Grifball to Halo 5, developer 343 has revealed fan-favourite mode Infection is in the works.

Infection was a gametype in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach that tasked players with staying uninfected for as long as possible while the zombies try to kill every living player. If you, as a zombie, killed an uninfected, they became infected. It was great, chaotic, fun!

During a recent Halo livestream for the Ghosts of Meridian update, due out later this month, 343 offered a glimpse at Halo 5's take on Infection, which looks suitably awesome. Check it out below.

Infection is set to launch alongside the Memories of Reach update, which is pegged for release later in 2016. 343 continues to do good work updating the Xbox One first-person shooter with cool free modes.
